Description:: ColdFusion Administration is an AboutWeb exclusive 3-day hands-on course. The course introduces students to the various tasks and aspects that relate to administering and optimizing Adobe's ColdFusion Application Server. Topics include but are not limited to: ColdFusion Administrator settings, their impact on applications, and optimal values for these settings, how to configure and optimize ColdFusion's underlying Java Virtual Machine, installing ColdFusion and the various installation configuration options, ColdFusion integration with various web servers, monitoring performance and memory usage, securing the ColdFusion Administrator, and implementing sandbox security. Students also study the core files and directory structure of J2EE Application Servers and J2EE applications, learn the pros, cons, and "gotchas" associated with deploying ColdFusion as a J2EE application, how to create and manage J2EE clusters, and how to configure and deploy ColdFusion in a clustered environment.
Audience:: The recommended prerequisites for this course are 6 months of experience administering or working with servers in a web environment and familiarity with programming ColdFusion applications.
